Bill Conly

conlyBill’s fascination with his Irish ancestry begins with his great grandfather, Thomas Cullen Conly, who came to the U.S. in the 1830’s from County Antrim in Northern Ireland, as a stow-away on a ship. Reflecting this Anglo-Irish ancestry, Bill Conly sings Irish songs, bluegrass, country, gospel, and plays the guitar and the mandolin. In addition to being a member of top notch Irish folk band The Conlys, Bill plays guitar and vocals for the 12th Louisiana String Band, performing War Between the States period music all over the Southern United States.
